A group of teenage cadets sheltered from war at the Virginia Military Institute must confront the horrors of an adult world when they are called upon to defend the Shenandoah Valley. Leaving behind their youth, these cadets must decide what they are fighting for.。本季节目立足中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法西斯战争胜利80周年时代背景，通过中外青年结伴而行，重走贵州与“中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法西斯战争”相关的历史遗迹和路线，对外讲好贵州历史故事和当代高质量发展故事，打造“文化+体验”相结合的节目，引导国际社会认识更加真实、立体、全面的中国。。主人公德哥是一个50多岁的中年人，他试着融入这群年轻人，试着通过自己的方式向年轻人证明自己。通过段子剧的形式，一个中年男人去跟年轻人无数次的碰撞，一次次让人大跌眼镜，意想不到，哭笑不得，从中表现主流价值观的反转，告诉年轻人中老年人的想法，同时也告诉中老年人年轻人的世界观是什么，让观众和德哥一起探索新时代的正确的人生价值观。。
