叶霜（秦岚 饰）是含着金汤匙出生的富家千金大小姐，从小过着养尊处优的富裕生活。长大后，叶霜和丈夫凌锋（高圣远 饰）结婚，婚后两人十分恩爱。没多久，叶霜就怀孕了，顺利诞下了可爱的小女儿，一家三口的生活幸福美满堪称典范。然而，在忽然之间，这美好的一切都消失了，丈夫和女儿的无故失踪以及绑匪索要的巨额赎金让叶霜陷入了绝望之中。 　　叶霜向警方求助，却因此意外的遇见了前男友姚杰（林家栋 饰），姚杰通过重重的调查发现这起案件背后十分蹊跷，而千丝万缕的线索都指向了叶霜的父亲叶城（任达华 饰）。然而，就在这个节骨眼上，叶城亦遭遇意外死亡，一下子，所有的线索都断了链，案件再度陷入了扑朔迷离之中。。When a group of old college friends, now in their 30s, gather over Christmas at their recently deceased friend's remote mountain cabin to celebrate his life, they see it as an opportunity to come together as the cohesive unit they once were.
